Staying in Central Dublin
There are several options, and the advantage of staying centrally is that you will be closer to the main tourist attractions (e.g. Stephen’ Green park, Trinity college, Temple bar area). Please bear in mind however that the traffic in Dublin can be congested during rush hours, and you will have easier access to the conference venue if you are on the north side of Dublin (north of the river Liffey). However, options around Grafton street (the main shopping street, south side of the river) still have good access to DCU via bus or taxi/Uber.  Also if you stay in the city centre or on the northside, you will be travelling to DCU in the morning, and will avoid most of the rush hour traffic. If you stay further into the south side (which tends to be a more expensive but also nicer part of town in general), you will encounter some traffic in the morning towards the city centre, but then it will ease off after that.
